Layla was behind the wheel; she’s known for being a terrible driver and having a short temper. I can say with certainty that her temper can be controlled at times, her driving skills… Not so much. My imaginary brakes were wearing out as Layla tailgated cars in front of her, zipped through every yellow light and sharply turned each corner. At one point she casually checked her GPS going full speed ahead.
“Layla, keep your eyes on the road; I’ll check the GPS!” I yelled, as we narrowly missed another collision. The bagel with cream cheese I had for breakfast was yearning to escape.
